A group of nine professors from various universities and from different fields have engaged, for four years, in a common research on the construction of the liberal city. The history of architecture, analysis on urban reality, studies on administration and legal regulations, the knowledge of the construction science itself... have gathered in a monthly seminar, directed by Carlos Sambricio, at the Madrilenian Casa de Velázquez, professionals such as Fernando Roch, Isabel Rodríguez Chumillas, Carmen del Moral, Ricardo Anguita, Rocío Román, Pepa Cassinello, Carmen Díez, Pilar García Pinacho and Xavier Huetz de Lemps.
This book is the first of the books to be published to disseminate the results of said research.
